Neoglint WiFi Smart Lock with Camera: Keyless entry

Decision:

I bought this Neoglint lock hoping for a seamless upgrade to my home security, given my background in building and my perfectionist tendencies. Initially, it worked out of the box, and I appreciated being able to unlock the door remotely, especially when my kid or wife forgot their keys. The camera feature is a nice touch, letting me see visitors clearly, which adds a layer of convenience. However, I've noticed the WiFi connection isn't always stable; it drops occasionally, making it frustrating when I'm trying to check on something from afar. The build quality, while generally good, has some weak points that make me skeptical about its long-term durability. For the price, I expected better performance and reliability. It does the job, but with minor flaws that keep it from being perfect. I'd recommend it with reservations, as it might not meet everyone's standards.

• Pros: It works out of the box and was very easy to set up, allowing me to control the lock from my phone without needing keys. The camera provides a clear view of who is at the door, which is helpful for security, and the sturdy build seems to handle weather well, as it has held up in Denver's rain and snow without issues.
• Cons: As it seemed to me, the connection can be unreliable at times, dropping when I need it most, and the video quality isn't as sharp as I expected for identifying details. It feels a bit flimsy in certain parts, which is disappointing for something meant to secure my home, and the battery life drains faster than anticipated, requiring frequent recharges.
