I bought this as a gift for my dad who's into DIY stuff, and he's been using it for a couple of months now. It's decent for what it is—helps with peace of mind on the road, especially in city driving here in Winnipeg. The automatic saving feature came in handy once when someone cut him off, and we had the footage to show. But yeah, it's not perfect; the video can be grainy sometimes, and I wish it was a bit sturdier. Overall, it's a functional piece that does what it says, but don't expect anything fancy. :)
- Pros: It works as advertised, which is quite nice for a gift. The video quality is clear, and it captures a wide view of the road, making it easy to see everything around me. I like that it saves recordings automatically if there's a bump or something, and it keeps recording without me having to delete old files manually. Setting it up was straightforward, no headaches there.
- Cons: Could be wrong, but it doesn't always pick up details perfectly in low light, and the wide view can make things look a bit distorted at the edges. Sometimes it feels a bit flimsy, and I worry it might not last too long with daily use. Not the most advanced thing out there, but it does the job okay for the price.
