As a deal hunter who's into DIY, I picked this up hoping for a reliable dash cam without breaking the bank. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and it's been a mixed bag. On my daily commute in Birmingham, it captures clear footage during the day, but at night, it struggles a bit with very dark streets—things are visible, but not as crisp as I'd like. The automatic saving feature kicked in once when I hit a pothole, which was reassuring, but the small screen means I have to pull over to review anything properly. For the price, it's a decent buy, but it's not without its flaws. I'd recommend it if you're on a tight budget, but don't expect top-tier performance.
- Pros: The video quality is fairly sharp, making it easy to see details on the road, and I appreciate how it automatically saves clips if it senses a bump, which could be handy in an accident. It manages storage well by overwriting old files, so I never have to worry about running out of space.
- Cons: The screen is a bit small, making it hard to check footage on the go, and while night vision works, it's not perfect—darker areas can still be grainy. I could be wrong, but it feels a tad flimsy for long-term use.
