Decision:

as a retired person with a perfectionist streak, i had high expectations for this smart trash can from homedepot. i thought it would make my life easier and add a bit of style to my home, and in reality, it mostly does. it's quite nice not having to lift a lid, especially with my interest in keeping things clean and fashionable. but, there are moments when it acts up, like opening unexpectedly, which can be annoying. overall, it's a fun addition that meets my needs well, though it's not flawless. i'd recommend it with a few reservations, as it does what it promises but has minor quirks. 😊

  • Pros: i quite liked how it opens on its own when i wave my hand near it, which is super handy when my hands are messy from cooking or i just don't want to touch anything. it looks really sleek and modern, fitting nicely in my kitchen and even the bedroom, and it adds a touch of glamour to something as simple as trash. being able to use batteries or plug it in is convenient, and it's easy to set up, which is great for someone like me who isn't too tech-savvy.
  • Cons: from what i feel, it can be a bit sensitive at times, opening when i don't mean to, which is a couple of nitpicks. also, it's quite pricey for what it does, and i worry about the cost of replacing batteries if i don't use the electric option. the automatic feature might not work perfectly every time, leading to minor frustrations.
