As a healthcare worker Im always on the lookout for practical tools that make life easier without breaking the bank so when I got this motion sensor I had high hopes for boosting my homes smarts I asked myself does it work reliably Well it does detect people moving around but not always instantly which can be frustrating especially if Im relying on it for security It seems decent for the price but not perfect I compared it to a friends setup and theirs had better sensitivity and integration this one just does the basics I use it in my hallway to alert me when someone comes in and it helps but I wish it were more responsive Overall its okay for someone starting out with smart home stuff but if you want something top-notch you might need to spend more I recommend it with reservations it gets the job done but dont expect miracles
- Pros: I quite like that it works without any wires making it easy to place anywhere in my home and it detects movement well enough for basic alerts it pairs with my voice assistant so I can check on things hands-free which is handy and setup was simple no tools or fuss involved
- Cons: It seems a bit slow to respond at times missing some movements and the range is not as good as I hoped it only covers a small area and I had to adjust it multiple times to avoid false alarms from pets or sunlight it feels a bit basic compared to others Ive seen lacking some smart features I expected
