as an engineer, i appreciate gadgets that just work, but this one has its quirks. i bought it mainly for peace of mind during my daily commute in benguru traffic, and it does a decent job overall. a tip i'd share is to regularly check and delete old footage to free up space, since it tends to save a lot. for the price, it's not bad, but i was expecting a bit more reliability, especially at night. it's functional, but don't expect miracles—it gets the job done with some minor frustrations.
- Pros: from what i feel, the video quality is extremely sharp, making it easy to see details like license plates, and the wide view captures almost everything around the car without needing to adjust it constantly. it's compact and blends in well, so it doesn't draw attention or get in the way while driving.
- Cons: the night vision isn't as great as i hoped; things can still look a bit grainy in very dark conditions, and the automatic saving feature sometimes triggers too easily on small bumps, filling up the storage with unnecessary clips. it feels a bit finicky to set up without clear instructions for someone like me who's not tech-savvy.
