The Lutron Maestro MACL-L3S25-WH dual dimmer and switch solves a common problem: you want to control both a light and a fan, but you only have one box. This single-pole unit stacks a dimmer on top and a switch below, fitting into a standard wall box without sacrificing function. Ideal for bedrooms or living spaces where you need independent control of a ceiling fan and overhead light.
Instead of just turning lights off, the dimmer has a delayed fade-to-off feature. Press and hold the top paddle, and the light slowly dims to off, giving you time to leave the room before total darkness. This is perfect for kids' rooms or hallways where you need a few extra seconds. The dimmer works with LED bulbs up to 75W or incandescent up to 300W, while the bottom switch handles any bulb type or a fan up to 2.5A.
Installation is straightforward in single-pole setups. A tap turns the dimmer to your favorite preset level; a double tap goes to full brightness. The switch part is simple on/off. Note: the Claro wallplate is sold separately. This is a practical, space-saving solution for anyone upgrading a standard switch to separate light and fan control.
