As a budget-conscious mom in Dallas, I bought this hoping it would help me keep an eye on the front door without spending a fortune. Setting it up was a breeze—no tools needed, just peel and stick, which I loved for a quick DIY fix. But honestly, it hasn't lived up to my expectations. The video calls work okay when they connect, but I've missed a few deliveries because it didn't notify me in time or the feed froze. A tip I learned: keep it charged regularly and place it close to the router to avoid drops. It's decent for the price, but I might upgrade to something sturdier later. For now, it does the job, but I'm not completely satisfied. :)
- Pros: I liked that it was easy to set up without any wires, just stuck it on the door and it connected to my phone over the internet. Being able to see and talk to people at the door from anywhere is extremely handy, especially when I'm busy with the kids or out running errands. It felt like having a little helper for security, and the sound came through clearly both ways, so I could chat with visitors without any issues.
- Cons: I expected more from it, as it seemed to have some connection problems sometimes, dropping the video feed when the Wi-Fi got weak. The video quality wasn't as sharp as I hoped, making it hard to see details, and the battery life didn't last very long, needing frequent recharges. Also, it felt a bit flimsy and not very durable for outdoor use, which worried me with the Texas weather.
