Decision:

As a teacher in LA who cycles a lot I bought this on an impulse thinking it would enhance my home security My first impression was positive the courier called ahead for delivery which was nice and setup was straightforward without needing tools However over a couple of weeks of use I noticed some drawbacks The video is great during the day but at night it struggles to show clear images which is a letdown for a security device The motion detection picks up everything which means constant notifications that aren't always relevant and the Wi-Fi dependency means if my internet acts up I lose access It does its basic job but doesn't feel as robust as I hoped For the price I expected better reliability and performance It seemed to me like a decent starter option but not something I'd rely on heavily for serious security needs

• Pros: I liked that the video quality was sharp and clear making it easy to see who was at the door and the wireless setup was incredibly simple to install without any hassle The ability to check the feed from my phone from anywhere gave me peace of mind and the motion alerts worked well to notify me of activity
• Cons: The battery life seemed shorter than expected requiring frequent recharges which was inconvenient and the night vision didn't perform as well in very dark conditions often leaving details unclear At times the connection dropped making the remote access unreliable and the alerts could be overly sensitive triggering for minor movements like passing cars
