before getting this, i was constantly fighting with my old trash can lid, especially with multiple kids making messes all the time. it was a germy hassle that i hated. now, with this one, it's a game-changer—no more touching the lid, and it fits where others couldn't. as it seemed to me, the convenience is fairly noticeable, but the sensor quirks and battery drain are disappointing. the packaging was intact when it arrived, which was a relief. overall, it's an improvement, but not perfect. i'd recommend it with reservations for small spaces.
