As a builder, I'm always tinkering with home stuff, and I grabbed these on a whim because I wanted to add some flair to my apartment. Overall, they do what they promise: easy installation, fun color changes, and decent flexibility. But there are drawbacks—the lack of water resistance is a big one for me, and the app issues can be annoying. Still, for indoor use in a living room or bedroom, they work well and add a cool vibe. I'd recommend them with caveats, mostly for dry areas. Not perfect, but good enough for an impulsive buy.
- Pros: I was fairly impressed with how easy these lights were to set up—just peel and stick, no tools needed, and they bend nicely around corners. Controlling the colors from my phone is a blast; it's fun to match the lighting to whatever I'm doing, whether it's a workout session or just chilling. The adhesive holds strong, and being able to cut them to size meant I didn't have any wasted bits, which is great for a quick project.
- Cons: Didn't like that they're not waterproof at all, so I can't use them in my bathroom or anywhere damp, which limits where I can jazz things up.
