before i got this, i was using a basic light that i had to manually switch on and off, and it always died at the worst times. now, with this one, it's super convenient for my daily commutes in san diego—delivery was quick, which was a plus. but it seems like it's just okay; in the same price range, there might be better options. it does the job, but i expected more for the brains it claims to have. overall, a 3 out of 5 for me—it's functional but not amazing.
- Pros: i like how it turns on by itself when cars are near, saves me from fumbling with it while riding. the battery lasts a good while and charges easily with a usb cable, just like my phone. it's also really light and doesn't add bulk to my bike, plus it handles rain well without any issues.
- Cons: sometimes it doesn't sense vehicles as quickly as i'd hope, which can be a bit nerve-wracking in traffic. the build feels a bit flimsy for something that's supposed to be tough, and i wish it had a brighter output for better visibility in all conditions.
