i bought this on a whim because i was tired of dealing with messy bins in my small apartment, and it has mostly lived up to the hype. as a teacher who cooks a lot, i appreciate how it fits snugly between the counter and the wall, and the hands-free operation is a game-changer for keeping things clean while i'm prepping meals. however, i'm a bit skeptical about its long-term durability; after a couple of weeks of use, it already feels a tad flimsy in some parts. overall, it's extremely functional for daily use, but i might have expected a bit more sturdiness for the price. it does what it promises, though, and i'd recommend it with those caveats.
- Pros: the automatic opening works extremely well with just a hand wave, which keeps things hygienic and feels almost magical. its large capacity means i don't have to empty it constantly, and the narrow shape fits perfectly in tight spots in my kitchen. being rechargeable via usb is very convenient, as it seemed to save me from buying batteries.
- Cons: as it seemed to me, the battery life could be better; i found myself charging it more often than i'd like, which was a bit annoying. also, the opening mechanism sometimes reacts too slowly if my hand isn't waved precisely, leading to minor frustrations.
