I got this fryer a couple weeks ago, hoping it would help me eat better while still enjoying fried foods. As a builder, I appreciate things that work well without fuss, and this one does pretty good overall. I tried it with different stuff like chicken and veggies, and most times it came out nice and crunchy. The basket is easy to clean, which is a plus after a long day. But yeah, that uneven heating thing is a letdown—it seemed to me like it might not be the best for bigger batches. Still, for quick meals, it's quite handy, and I'd say it's worth a shot if you're into fitness like me. :)
