i bought this haoaxin lock a few months back after reading up on home security im an engineer so i tend to compare things critically at first it was a bit tricky to set up the app but once i got it working it was handy i use my fingerprint mostly and it opens fast but sometimes it doesnt recognize if my hands are wet the remote access is a nice touch for when im out and need to let someone in but the app interface isnt the most intuitive it could use some improvement the lock itself feels solid and has held up against the rain here which is a plus overall its a good upgrade from traditional locks but not perfect i wish it had better instructions or support for beginners like me who arent into tech stuff
- Pros: i finally got rid of my keys and that felt extremely freeing the fingerprint part works well for me and i like being able to open the door from my phone it seems tough and handles rain fine which is good for seattle weather
- Cons: as it seemed to me the app could be simpler for someone not techy and the nfc cards are a bit flimsy compared to what i expected from a high end lock
