when i first got this light, i was hoping for an easy way to update my home's lighting without spending too much. as a builder, i'm used to things being straightforward, but this one had me scratching my head a bit. i hooked it up in the living room, and at first, it was neat to play with the colors—my kids got a kick out of it for a while. but after a couple of weeks, i found myself not using the app much because it only worked when i was close by, and that was too inconvenient. it didn't blend well with the decor in some spots, and while it saved on energy, the overall experience felt a bit half-baked. it's okay for what it is, but i wouldn't call it a game-changer.
- Pros: i liked that i could change the light to different colors and make it brighter or dimmer without getting up, which was handy when i was relaxing. it didn't hurt my eyes, and it seemed to use less electricity, which is good for saving money.
- Cons: i didn't like that it only worked with a phone app over a short distance, which felt too limited and unreliable. the setup was a bit confusing for me, and it didn't fit well in some rooms as it seemed to me.
