Decision:

As an older chap from Edinburgh with a military background, I tend to be pragmatic about purchases. I expected a simple way to enjoy birdwatching from my armchair, and reality has mostly met that—it's a joy to see the birds without scaring them off. The images are sharp, and night viewing works well, though the AI isn't perfect. It's been a nice addition to my routine, sharing moments with my child when they visit. After using it for a couple of months, I'd say it's a solid product with minor flaws, but it brings a lot of happiness. :)

  • Pros: I was hoping to watch birds without disturbing them, and this feeder does exactly that—it's extremely effective at letting me observe them up close. The camera captures very clear images, even in low light, which is a lovely bonus for seeing nocturnal visitors. Its design blends well into my garden, and I appreciate that it's sturdy and seems built to last, fitting my DIY mindset.
  • Cons: The bird recognition feature isn't always accurate; sometimes it misidentifies species, which can be a bit frustrating. It requires a fair bit of setup and occasional adjustments, which might not suit everyone, especially if you're not comfortable with tech. The price point felt a bit high for what it offers, given my budget.
