I bought this DIYelecs clock hoping it would make my mornings easier, but I must say, I'm a bit skeptical. As someone who enjoys fixing things around the house, I thought I could handle it, but setting it up wasn't as straightforward as I expected. The display is clear, I'll give it that—no more squinting to see the time, which is a relief. I like that I can adjust the brightness; it's very gentle and doesn't blind me when I wake up, unlike my old clock. The sound feature is pleasant for helping me relax in the evening, though I haven't used it much yet. The sunrise effect is a nice touch, it slowly gets brighter to wake me up naturally, which seems better than a loud alarm. But the app part? Oh dear, that was a headache. I had to ask my neighbor to help me get it working, and even then, it feels like too much fuss for an alarm clock. For the price, I thought it would be simpler, and I'm disappointed it didn't live up to the hype. Still, it does what it's supposed to do, and I appreciate the thoughtful design, even if it has its quirks.
