i bought this after losing our remote, and it seems to work fine with our tcl tv. setup was quick, no issues there, and the buttons respond well. it's not as sturdy as the first one, but it does the job for changing channels and volume. the kids haven't broken it yet, which is a plus. overall, it's a good replacement if you need something affordable and fast, but don't expect it to last forever. i'd get it again if needed.
- Pros: it seems very easy to set up, just plug it in and it works right away, which is great when you're in a hurry with the kids wanting to watch their shows. the look and feel are just like the original, so it blends in without any fuss, and it's a lot cheaper, which is nice for the budget.
- Cons: i wish it came with a better guide or something, because if you're not sure about your tv model, it might be confusing, and it seems a bit flimsy compared to the original, but for the price, it's not a big deal.
