Decision:

As a stay-at-home parent who's fairly tech-savled and into gaming, I had high hopes for this remote to replace my lost one without any fuss. The expectation was a seamless, durable device that would make my TV time smoother, but the reality is a bit mixed. It does the job for basic functions like navigating streaming services, and I appreciate that it's straightforward to use—no PhD required, as they say :) But the occasional lag and the overall feel leave me wanting more. For the low price, it's acceptable, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed that it's not as polished as I'd hoped. It's functional, sure, but not exceptional, and in my book, that means it's just okay for everyday use.

• Pros: From what I feel, it's fairly easy to set up—no complicated programming needed, just a quick sync and it was ready to go. The buttons are all in the right places, so I didn't have to hunt around for things like volume or switching apps, which is a relief when I'm trying to relax after a long day. It feels sturdy in hand, like it can handle being dropped or tossed on the couch without falling apart, which is great for someone like me who's always multitasking.
• Cons: Long story short, it doesn't quite match the original remote's responsiveness; sometimes there's a slight delay when pressing buttons, which can be annoying when I'm in the middle of a game or trying to pause something quickly. The build, while decent, feels a bit plasticky and cheap compared to what I expected for the price, and it doesn't have any extra features that might make it stand out, just the basics.
