As someone who does a lot of video work for my cycling vlogs and occasional freelance projects, I was excited to upgrade from my camera's small screen. I've been using this monitor for a couple of months now, and it's been a mixed bag. On the positive side, having a bigger view has saved me from missing important shots, especially when I'm out on my scooter capturing fast-moving scenes. The focus highlighting feature is a game-changer for keeping things sharp without guessing. However, I've run into issues where the screen doesn't respond well to touches, which can slow me down when I'm trying to change settings on the fly. In direct sunlight, it's almost impossible to use, which is a big drawback for outdoor shoots. Overall, it does improve my workflow, but it's not as reliable as I hoped for the cost. I'd recommend it with caution—it's good, but not great.
- Pros: The larger and brighter display makes it much easier to see details without straining my eyes, which is a huge relief during long shoots. The color analysis tool helps me get exposures just right, avoiding mistakes later on. It's lightweight and easy to carry around, fitting well into my gear bag without adding bulk.
- Cons: From what I feel, the touchscreen can be a bit unresponsive at times, which is frustrating when I need to adjust settings quickly. It doesn't hold up too well in very bright outdoor conditions, making it hard to see the screen clearly. The build quality seems a bit flimsy for the price, and I worry about its durability over time.
