as someone who tends to buy things on a whim, i grabbed this hoping it would make my life easier, and it does in some ways. the motion detection is accurate most of the time, and i appreciate not having to fumble for switches in the dark. but that humming noise is a real drawback—it's not loud, but it's there, and it bugs me. i've had it for a couple of weeks now, and while it's functional, i'm not blown away. it's decent for basic use, but i might look for something better if this one gives out. overall, it's okay, but not amazing. 😕
