As an impulsive buyer, I grabbed this light because it looked cool online, and I wanted to spruce up my place. After using it for a couple of weeks, it's been a mixed bag. On the plus side, it does set a nice mood, and I appreciate not having to fiddle with switches all the time. But man, the setup was a nightmare—the manual might as well have been in another language. I spent way too long trying to figure out how to attach the rings, and even now, they feel a bit wobbly. The remote is hit or miss; sometimes it works fine, other times I have to point it directly at the light from close range. The flickering is my biggest gripe—it happens randomly and ruins the ambiance. I have pets, and my dog seems a bit spooked by it, which isn't great. Overall, it's okay for what it is, but I expected better quality for the money. I might not recommend it to friends unless they're really into the look and don't mind some quirks. :)
