As an engineer myself, I bought this for my grandkid with high expectations—thinking it'd be a fantastic intro to robotics. Reality hit when I saw it's quite limited; it follows lines well enough, but there's not much else to it. The build quality feels a bit cheap, and it didn't hold up to enthusiastic play for long. On the bright side, it did get the kid curious about how things move, which is a win :) But overall, it's a decent starter toy, not the educational powerhouse I envisioned. Most likely, it's good for a short-term fun, but don't expect it to last or teach too much.
- Pros: I was fairly impressed by how simple it is to get this little robot going right out of the box—no fuss or complicated setup, which is great for a gift. It does a solid job of following those black lines, and it's sneakily educational, making robotics feel like fun play for the young ones.
- Cons: It's so-so in terms of durability; after a short while, it started acting up a bit, and I wish it had more interactive features beyond just line-following. The learning aspect is good but fairly basic, not as deep as I'd hoped for sparking real interest in engineering concepts.
