As someone who's always been a bit skeptical about gadgets, I bought this on a whim for my granddaughter, and it's been a decent addition to her room. The colour-changing feature is lovely and really calms her down at night, making bedtime easier. I like that it shows the temperature—handy for checking if the riom's too warm or cold. The touch controls are a breeze, even for her small fingers. However, the alarm sound is quite sharp and can startle her sometiems, which isn't ideal. Also, the light intensity varies, and on the brightest setting, it's a bit much. It seems to do the job, but I wish it were a bit more refined. Overall, it's helpful, but not perfect. :)
