As a designer and someone who's always looking for ways to keep my pets happy, I had high hopes for this toy. The problem was my dog and cat were getting restless, especially on rainy days when we couldn't go out. This seemed like a solution, and at first, it was fun—I could make it dance and play music, which they chased around. But after a couple of months, the novelty wore off. The remote didn't work as reliably as I'd hoped, often cutting out if I wasn't in the same room, and the sounds weren't very engaging. It's decent for short bursts of entertainment, but it didn't become a staple in our routine like I thought it would. My takeaway is that while it's a cute idea, it might not be worth it for long-term use unless your pet is easily amused. Compared to the basic balls and strings I used before, this felt a bit overcomplicated without enough payoff.
- Pros: I found it incredibly easy to control from my couch without having to move, which is a blessing for my knees. The lights on its face made it look friendly and not at all scary, and my pets seemed to enjoy the little tunes it played. Being able to set up custom movements was a nice touch, as it kept my dog engaged in a way that felt personalized.
- Cons: The remote connection felt a bit finicky at times, dropping out when I moved around the house, and the music feature was so-so—not very loud or varied. It didn't hold up well compared to simpler toys I've used before, as it seemed to lose its charm quickly for my cat, who got bored after a short while.
