As a healthcare worker, I appreciate anything that encourages activity, even for pets, so I gave this a try. Bottom line, it's fairly effective for what it is. My cat, who used to just lounge around all day, now chases this thing and gets some exercise. I've had it for a couple of months, and it's held up okay, though I wish it were quieter and had better battery performance. One tip I'd share is to use it on hard floors for the best movement. Overall, it seems to do its job, but it's not perfect. I'd recommend it with some reservations.
