Decision:

As someone who loves a good deal and cooks a lot at home, I was excited to try this egg cooker from FINE DAY. I've used it for a couple of months now, and while it does the job for basic boiled eggs, I'm a bit disappointed. It's very easy to use—just pop in the eggs, add water, and press a button—and it's handy for meal prepping, especially since I can do up to six at a time. But I've found that the doneness isn't always consistent; sometimes the eggs come out a bit under or over, depending on how much water I use. I've picked up a hack: using a measuring cup for the water helps, but it's an extra step I didn't expect to need. For the cost, I thought it would be smarter, like maybe adjusting for different egg sizes or having more settings. It's fine for quick breakfasts, but as a designer, I appreciate good design, and this one feels a bit lacking in functionality. Most likely, it's okay if you're on a tight budget, but I might look for something better next time. It hasn't broken or anything, just didn't live up to the hype.

• Pros: I really appreciate how it turns off by itself, so I don't have to watch it, and the beep when the eggs are done is a nice touch. It looks modern with that smooth screen, and knowing it's made from safe materials puts my mind at ease. It's great for cooking several eggs at once, which saves time for my busy mornings.
• Cons: I expected more from it, honestly. The beeping sound is a bit too quiet and easy to miss if I'm in another room, and the screen, while sleek, isn't very responsive at times. It feels a bit flimsy for the price, and I wish it had more cooking options beyond just eggs, as it claims to be versatile but doesn't deliver on that.
