Available Options

If your Freightliner Columbia (made between 2007 and 2017) is acting up, it might be giving you the cold shoulder because of a faulty Coolant Level Sensor. - Built tougher than a two-dollar steak, ready to go the distance.
- You can install it without needing a PhD in mechanical engineering.

As someone who's been around trucks for years and values precision, I had high expectations for this sensor. Reality-wise, it met most of them: it dropped right into my Freightliner without a fuss, and it's been monitoring the coolant levels accurately, which is a HUGE relief to prevent overheating. Installation was a breeze—I did it myself in under an hour, no mechanical degree needed! It feels solid and well-made, but I'm keeping an eye on it since I've only used it for a short while. Overall, it does what it's supposed to, and for the price, it's a solid choice, though I'd feel more confident after more time on the road. Definitely a pragmatic buy for now.
- Pros: It suits me that this part fits perfectly into my truck without any hassle, just like the original one. From what I feel, it's extremely durable and seems built to last, which is crucial for avoiding engine issues. I appreciate how easy it is to install, no need for special tools or expertise, saving me time and potential headaches.
- Cons: I was a bit skeptical at first because aftermarket parts can be hit or miss, and while it works well, I haven't had it long enough to fully trust its long-term reliability. There's a slight concern that it might not hold up under extreme conditions, but so far, no problems—just my cautious nature kicking in.

my freightliner was giving me trouble with overheating warnings, and after some digging, i figured it might be the sensor. ordered this from happybuyse, and the courier actually called ahead to confirm delivery, which was a nice touch. got it in a couple of days, popped it in myself—took maybe 20 minutes tops. since then, no more false alarms, and the engine's been running smooth. feels great to fix something myself and save a bundle on mechanic costs. highly recommend for any diy folks out there dealing with similar issues :)
- Pros: it fit perfectly right out of the box, just like the original part, and was built to last with sturdy materials that seem fairly reliable. installation was a breeze, no special tools or expertise needed, which saved me a lot of hassle and time.
- Cons: none really, it did exactly what it was supposed to without any issues, so i can't think of any downsides for my use case.
