Ever wish you had eyes in the back of your head? Well, the Automotive DVR with Three Lenses gets you pretty close—minus the rear camera (more on that in a sec). It’s like having a personal bodyguard for your car, capturing every detail in 1080p Full HD resolution so crisp, you’ll feel like you’re watching a movie. And when life throws a curveball (or another car gets too close), the G-sensor jumps into action, locking down footage of the action so you don’t lose a second. Dark out? No problem. Its night vision capability turns night into day, keeping an eye on things when you can’t. Just a heads-up: this model’s all about forward and side coverage, so yeah, it doesn’t come with a rear camera. But hey, three out of four ain’t bad, right?

  • 1080p Full HD resolution
  • G-sensor impact detection
  • Night vision capability
  • No rear camera included

Decision:

As an engineer, I was skeptical at first, but this Smart Mouse device has proven to be a real workhorse for my daily commute in Winnipeg. The three lenses cover the front and sides well, capturing everything from multiple angles, which is handy for insurance purposes or just reviewing drives. I've used it for a couple of weeks now, and it's held up fine in various weather conditions, from rain to snow. A tip I'd share is to regularly check and manage the saved files to avoid running out of space too quickly. Overall, it does what it's supposed to do reliably, though the lack of a rear view means I might consider an add-on later. For the price, it's a solid choice if you don't need full surround coverage. I'd recommend it with that caveat. 👍

  • Pros: The video quality is extremely sharp and clear, making it easy to see details like license plates and road signs. I really appreciate how it automatically saves clips when it senses a bump or sudden movement, which gives me peace of mind. The ability to see well in low light is a big plus, as it works great during night drives.
  • Cons: It doesn't include a camera for the back of the car, which is a letdown since I expected full coverage. Sometimes the automatic saving feature can be too sensitive and lock files for minor vibrations, leading to extra clutter to sort through.
