Decision:

My first impression was that this dash cam could be a game-changer for my drives around Edinburgh, but honestly, it's left me feeling a bit disappointed. I got it hoping it would make me feel safer, especially since I'm into cars and want to protect my ride. The footage is crisp, no doubt, and I appreciate the automatic saving when it senses a jolt—it's saved me from a few close calls already. But those alerts? They pop up way too often for stuff like shadows or small movements, and it's starting to feel like a nag rather than a help. 😕 Plus, I've noticed my battery seems to dip more with it plugged in, which isn't great for longer trips. On the upside, it was easy to set up with my car's system, and the loop recording means I never have to worry about running out of space. Overall, it's a decent piece of kit, but it falls short of being amazing. I'd say it's okay for the price, but don't expect perfection.

• Pros: The video quality is really sharp, making everything on the road clear and easy to see later. I like that it gives me warnings in real-time if something seems off, which feels like having an extra set of eyes. It hums a bit when it's working, but it's not too loud, and the way it saves clips automatically after bumps is super handy.
• Cons: It seems to drain my car's battery a bit faster than I'd like, and the alerts can be a bit too sensitive, going off for minor things. Connecting it to my phone was fairly straightforward, but it doesn't always sync up smoothly, which is annoying. The build feels a bit plasticky and not as durable as I hoped.
