i got this after my key took a dive and got scratched up, and it does the job well for protection. installation was a breeze—just popped it on in seconds, and it’s held up fine so far. the delayed delivery was a bummer, arrived a day late, but it was packaged okay. as a perfectionist, i wish it were slimmer and felt more premium, but for now, it’s a solid hack to keep my key safe without losing any features. not perfect, but it hums along nicely for daily use.
- Pros: it snaps on super easy without any tools and fits my subaru key like it was made for it, keeping it safe from drops and spills which is a lifesaver with kids around. the buttons still work perfectly for locking and unlocking, no issues there, and it looks good too, like a stylish upgrade that doesn’t compromise function.
- Cons: it seems a bit bulky compared to the original, which can be annoying in my pocket, and the material feels a bit cheap for the price, not as durable as i hoped for something that’s supposed to protect my key long-term. also, it hums a little when i press the buttons, not loud but noticeable.
