As someone who runs a business, I appreciate gadgets that add convenience, but this doorbell from Dongfang HOME A is a mixed bag. The video is good, no doubt, and I can monitor my home easily, which gives some peace of mind. However, the motion detection goes off too much—I get notifications for every little movement, and it's distracting. The two-way talk feature is useful, but the sound isn't always clear, making conversations a bit awkward. For an impulsive buy, it's not terrible, but I expected more reliability. It does the job, but I might look for something better down the line. Overall, it's functional but has its flaws.
- Pros: I liked that the video quality is sharp and clear, making it easy to see who's at the door. Setting it up was straightforward without any wires, which saved me time. Being able to check in from my phone when I'm out is handy, and the night vision works well in low light.
- Cons: The motion alerts are a bit too sensitive, often pinging me for small things like leaves blowing by. The audio quality during chats is just okay, sometimes a bit fuzzy. It feels fairly basic for the price, and I've had a few connection drops, which is annoying.
