A standing desk can fit a narrow nook on paper and still fail in the room. The desktop may clear the walls while the feet hit a baseboard, the control panel projects into a side panel, the monitor arm swings backward into the wall, or the cables pull tight when the desk rises.
In a confined space, features come second. The first job is to find a complete electric sit-stand desk whose top, frame, feet, controls, monitor setup, and cables can move through the available space without collisions.
