as an engineer, i was quite skeptical about this toy living up to the hye, but it turned out better than i thought. my expectation was that it would be just another flashy distraction, but in reality, it actually encouraged my toddlers to focus and play independently. i appreciate thta it's rooted in educational principles without feeling forced, and the wood quality is decent for handling drops. however, it's not perfect—the stiffness of the switches might need breaking in, and i wish it had more interactive elements. overall, it's a solid choice for developmental play, and i'd recommend it with some reservations, especially if you're deal hunting like me.
- Pros: the wooden board feels qyite sturdy and well-made, which was a relief since my kids can be rough with toys. i liked that it kept them engaged for longer than expected, especially during car rides, and the lights were bright enough to capture their attention without being overwhelming. it seemed to help with their hand coordination, as they enjoyed flipping the switches repeatedly.
