before i got this, i was always forgetting to turn off lights around the house, leading to higher bills and annoyed reminders from my wife. after installing it, i liked that i could boss the lights around from my couch or even when i'm not home, using my phone or just talking to my assistant. it's a beast for convenience in that way. but it's not perfect—the wifi connection isn't always stable, and the app has its moments where it just doesn't cooperate. as a healthcare worker with a hectic schedule, i appreciate anything that makes life easier, but this feels a bit half-baked. i bought it on a whim, thinking it would solve all my problems, but it's just okay. wouldn't say it's a game-changer, but it does the job most of the time.
- Pros: it was fairly easy to set up without needing to mess with wires, which was a relief. being able to control the lights with my voice through my assistant or the app on my phone is handy, especially when i'm busy with the kids or gaming. setting schedules helps me remember to turn things off and might save a bit on electricity, as it seemed to me.
