my first impression was that this could be a great gift for keeping the house safe, but honestly, i'm a bit disappointed. it does what it says for the most part, letting me see visitors clearly and monitor remotely, which is nice when i'm away traveling. however, the issues with the night view and false alarms make it less dependable than i hoped. it's not a total letdown, but it could be better. for the price, i expected more reliability, especially since i'm fairly tech-savvy and set it up myself without much trouble. overall, it's okay, but not perfect :)
- Pros: i liked that it was fairly easy to set up, just plug-and-play, and the screen shows things clearly, making it simple to see who's at the door without any fuss. the ability to check on things from my phone when i'm not home is handy, especially since i travel a lot, and it alerts me quickly if there's movement outside.
- Cons: i could be wrong, but the night vision doesn't always work perfectly—sometimes it's a bit grainy in low light, and the motion alerts can be too sensitive, picking up things like passing cars or animals, which gets annoying. also, the wifi connection drops occasionally, making it unreliable when i need it most.
