So I got this lock handle from Chic Interiors a while back and I'm here to answer my own questions about it. Why did I buy it? Well, my son suggested it for security since I live alone now and he's always worried about me. Does it work? Mostly yes, but it's not perfect. The fingerprint thing is cool when it works, but I've had a few times where I had to try multiple times or use the code instead. It's kinda ironic that something meant to make life easier can be a bit frustrating. The Bluetooth feature lets me lock the door from inside, which is nice when I'm lazy on the couch, but I don't trust it fully for outside use. Installation was straightforward, no big issues there. Durability seems okay so far, no breaks or anything. Would I recommend it? Yeah, but with reservations. It's stylish and functional, but not foolproof. Overall, it's a decent upgrade from keys, but I still keep a spare key hidden just in case :)
- Pros: It seems quite handy to not need keys anymore and I can open the door with my finger or a code which is nice for my arthritis. The style matches my home decor well and it was easy to put on the door myself without calling for help.
- Cons: Kinda meh that it doesn't always recognize my fingerprint right away especially if my hands are a bit dry from the cold Boston weather. The Bluetooth part seems finicky sometimes and I worry about it not working if the power goes out or something.
