as someone who enjoys a good cup of tea but isn't too tech-savvy, this kettle is an acquired taste. it does what it says for the most part, keeping water hot when i need it, but i've had a few moments where it didn't heat as quickly as i'd like, and the temperature hold isn't always perfect. it's handy for my morning routine, but i'm not blown away. for the price, it's okay, but i might look for something sturdier next time. overall, it gets the job done, but with some minor annoyances.
