Decision:

First impression: I picked this up as a replacement for my Sharp TV's remote after the original gave out, and overall, it's a decent buy. It mirrors the original closely, so changing channels or adjusting volume is seamless, and I didn't have to fiddle with any settings—just popped in the batteries and it worked right away. As a teacher, I appreciate things that just do their job without fuss, and this fits the bill. But, being a rationalist, I can't ignore that it's not perfect; the materials feel a bit cheap, and for the price, I expected something a bit more durable. It gets the job done for binge-watching sessions with the family, though, so I'd give it a solid 3/5—functional but not exceptional. :)

• Pros: It seems to work just like the original remote, with all the buttons in the right places and responding quickly to commands. Setting it up was straightforward, no complicated steps needed, and it feels solid in the hand without being too heavy.
• Cons: The build quality could be a bit better; it feels a tad plasticky and might not hold up to rough handling over time. Also, while it's fine for basic functions, it doesn't have any extra features that might justify a higher price point.
