From what I feel, this Schoolyard set is a solid choice for some light gaming fun. I bought it a couple of weeks back and have used it a few times with my nephew. The first impression was good—it was ready to play out of the box, and the design feels durable enough for rough handling. The ejector thing is a neat feature that makes the battles more engaging, and I appreciate that it encourages interactive play. However, the manual could be improved with better diagrams or explanations, and I wish the remote range was longer for more freedom of movement. Overall, it delivers on the promise of fun and is a decent product, though not perfect. I'd recommend it for casual use :)
- Pros: The robots are very sturdy and the remotes are simple to use, making it easy to get started right away. I like that it comes with two for playing with a friend, and the ejector function adds a fun twist to the battles.
- Cons: The instructions could be a bit clearer, and the range is somewhat limited, so you have to stay close for it to work well. Also, the battery life isn't great and needs frequent charging.
