This thermostat is for homeowners managing a heat pump or single-stage system. It gives you control over your home's temperature without the confusion of complex programming. Whether you're upgrading from a basic model or replacing a broken unit, this thermostat works with most forced air, heat pump, hot water, and steam systems. It is not compatible with two transformer systems or dual fuel hybrid heating.
Installation takes about 30 minutes thanks to large terminal blocks and a universal sub-base. The bright white backlit display is easy to read, even in low light. The factory pre-set 5/1/1 program matches a typical weekday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule, so you can save energy right out of the box. You can adjust the temperature swing to prevent short cycling and protect your equipment.
Power options are flexible: use 24VAC or two AAA batteries. No C-wire is needed for most systems, which simplifies installation. The front-load battery compartment lets you swap batteries without removing the thermostat from the wall. For reliability, this thermostat includes compressor delay protection and adjustable temperature calibration.
