so, why did i buy these? mostly because i ride my bike in houston winters, which aren't brutal but can get chilly and wet. as a chef, i'm used to handling stuff with gloves, so i thought these would be perfect. do they work? yeah, quite well at first—texting and swiping is easy, and they keep my hands from freezing. but after a few months of use, the touch part isn't as reliable; i have to press harder now. are they comfortable? mostly, yes, but they can feel a bit clammy after a long ride. would i recommend them? probably, if you need something for occasional use, but don't expect them to last forever. overall, they're good but not great, hence the four stars.
- Pros: the touchscreen fingertips actually work, so i can use my phone without taking them off, which is a lifesaver when it's cold. they keep my hands warm and dry, blocking wind and water pretty well, and the fit is snug without being too bulky.
- Cons: after a while, the touchscreen part seems to wear out a bit, not as responsive as when new. they can get a bit sweaty inside if i'm active, and the material isn't the most breathable. for the price, i expected them to hold up better over time.
