as a sales manager, i like things that make life easier, and this does that fairly well. the courier called ahead for delivery, which was nice. i use it for family evenings and taking photos, as the light control helps set the mood. it seemed reliable so far, handling different voltages without issue. why aren't all lights this smart? :) but it's not perfect—the remote could be better. overall, a good buy for the price.
- Pros: the remote works from across the room, so no more getting up to turn lights on or off, which is handy for my joints. setting schedules with the timer is fairly easy and helps save on electricity, plus it makes the house seem occupied when i'm away. it fits any standard bulb and was simple to install, just screw it in and add a bulb.
- Cons: the remote feels a bit cheap and might not last long, as it seems flimsy. the instructions were okay, but i had to read them a few times to get the timer set up right. it only works with certain bulb types, so check yours first.
