so i got this goolrc thing to automate some lights at home, with kids running around i thought it'd be handy. it does its job most of the time, responds quick and saves energy, which is great. but yeah, the ir part isn't always on point—misses detections now and then, especially if the sun's out. installation was a breeze, no tools needed really, and it feels durable. overall, it's okay, not amazing, but gets the basics done. probably won't buy another one unless they fix the sensitivity issues.
- Pros: it works fast when i press it, like instantly, and it barely uses any power so my bills are low. setting it up was easy, took no time at all, and it feels solid, like it won't break soon.
- Cons: the sensitivity isn't perfect, sometimes it misses when i wave my hand, and it can be a bit finicky in bright light. for a perfectionist like me, that's annoying and makes it unreliable in some spots.
