so, why did i get this? well, i wanted to save money and keep using my favorite bike instead of buying a new one. as a healthcare worker, i'm always looking for ways to stay active without overdoing it, and this seemed perfect. after using it for a couple of months, it's been a mixed bag. on the plus side, it's awesome for short trips around vancouver, and i can zip to work without breaking a sweat. the motor is reliable, and i like that i can switch between the controllers for different speeds. but, oh boy, the installation was a headache—i'm not very tech-savvy, so i had to watch a lot of videos and ask around. once it's on, it works fine, but it adds some weight that makes the bike feel less nimble. for photos and videos of my rides, it's fun, but i wish it was easier to set up. overall, it does what it says, but it's not without its quirks. would i recommend it? maybe, if you have patience or a handy friend!
- Pros: i love that it makes my old bike feel new again, and the motor is strong enough to help me up hills without much effort. the indicator is awesome for keeping an eye on things while i ride, and having two controllers gives me options, which seems very handy.
- Cons: it was a bit tricky to install on my own, and i had to get some help from a friend. the instructions weren't very clear, and it feels a bit heavy on the bike, making it harder to handle at times. also, the battery life doesn't last as long as i hoped for longer rides.
