so i got this dash cam on a whim because i drive a lot for work and wanted something to keep an eye on things, especially with my kid in the car. after using it for a couple of months, it's been mostly good. the video quality is very impressive—i can actually make out details that were blurry with my old one. the two lenses are a game-changer; it's like having eyes in the back of my head, which is great for seattle traffic. the auto-save when i hit a pothole or something has saved my butt a few times, and the loop recording means i don't have to fuss with the memory card. but it's not perfect. the video can get jittery on bumpy days, and setting it up took me a while because i'm not super tech-savvy. parking mode is okay, but it doesn't always catch everything, and in low light, it struggles a bit. overall, it's a solid choice for the price, but if you're looking for something top-notch, you might want to spend more. i'd say it's worth it for the safety boost.
- Pros: the video is very clear and sharp, which helps a lot when i need to see details like license plates. i like that it has two lenses, so it captures everything from the front and back, making me feel safer on the road. the automatic saving feature when there's a bump works well and gives me peace of mind, and the continuous recording without running out of space is a real workhorse for daily use.
- Cons: sometimes the footage seems a bit shaky when i'm driving on rough roads, and the setup was a bit tricky for me as a beginner. it doesn't always save clips perfectly when parked, and i wish it had better low-light performance. compared to other options, it feels a bit basic and not as durable as i hoped.
