i got this a couple months back to help keep an eye on things at home since i'm always busy with my small business. overall, it does what it says—it tells me when a door or window is open and can trigger other devices, which is handy. but it's not perfect; the false alarms are annoying, and i had to fiddle with the settings a lot to make it work right. for the price, it's a decent deal, but i expected a bit more reliability. i'd say it's pretty good for basic security, but don't count on it for anything super serious.
- Pros: it's pretty good at connecting to my phone without any hassle, and i like that it can make the lights turn on or off when the door opens or closes. the size is super small, so it doesn't look bad on my windows or doors, and setting it up was easy with the app.
- Cons: the alarm seems a bit too sensitive sometimes, going off when it's just a draft or my cat nudging the door. i wish it was a bit smarter about that. also, it only works with certain apps, which is a bummer if you don't use that brand's stuff.
