so, why did i buy this? well, i was impulsive and thought it'd be great for monitoring my garage where i tinker with cars, but honestly, it's been a letdown. the external sensor is waterproof, sure, but the accuracy is questionable—i've had times where it showed different numbers than my trusted tools, and that's not cool. it remembers the extremes, but what good is that if the data isn't right? the design is okay, silver and all, but it feels flimsy, like it might break if i look at it wrong. as a software guy, i appreciate simple gadgets, but this one misses the mark; it's not intuitive, and i find myself double-checking everything. overall, it's not the reliable hrlper i hoped for, and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who needs precise measurements. :)
- Pros: i like that it can handle getting wet without issues, whch is handy for my messy garage or when the kids splash around. the memory for highest and lowest readings is useful to track changes over time, and the display is clear enough to read from a distance, which is nice for my aging eyes.
- Cons: from what i feel, it's super unreliable—the readings seem off compared to other devices i have, and it doesn't respond quickly to changes. the build feels cheap, not like a proper workhorse, and it's a pain to set up or use with any preciison. for the price, i expected way better, and it just doesn't hold up in my automotive projects.
