Decision:

i bought this as a gift for my partner who drives an older benz, and we were hoping it would solve the wonky climate issues. before installing it, the cabin temperature was all over the place, making drives uncomfortable, especially with our kid in the back. after putting it in, it's definitely an improvement—the system responds better and doesn't fluctuate as wildly. it seems to work fairly well most of the time, but there are moments when it doesn't feel quite right, like it's not fully calibrated. for the cost and ease, it's a decent upgrade, but not a complete fix. i'd say it's worth a shot if you're on a budget and handy, but don't expect miracles. overall, it helped, but i might look into something more robust down the line.

• Pros: it was super easy to install, just popped right in without needing any tools or help, which was perfect for a quick diy fix. the price was really reasonable, so it didn't hurt my wallet at all. after putting it in, the climate system in my car started working much better, no more guessing if it's too hot or cold inside, which is a big relief.
• Cons: to be fair, it didn't make things perfect; the temperature control still seems a bit off sometimes, not as precise as i hoped. also, it only fits specific car models, so if you don't have the right one, it's useless, which is a bit limiting. i wish it came with clearer instructions or some extra bits to make sure it's a snug fit, as it felt a little loose at first.

Decision:

Before this my car's climate was all over the place making drives uncomfortable especially in LA heat with my kid in the back after putting this in it's like night and day the air blows at the right temp now no more sweating or freezing :) as an engineer I appreciate simple fixes and this did the job without a hassle I bought it on a whim and don't regret it though I wish it came with better instructions but hey it worked out

• Pros: I can say for sure this sensor was quite easy to install myself no tools needed and it got my car's climate system working properly again no more guessing the temperature in the cabin it feels just right now and for the price it was a good deal most likely
• Cons: I was a bit skeptical at first since it's not an original part and it took a little fiddling to get it seated right but once in it works fine though I worry about long term reliability
